Chance to find out all about dementia dogs

GLAS­GOW res­i­dents liv­ing with dementia are be­ing given the chance to learn more about a project that could help them with the dis­ease.

Dementia Dog Project will be hold­ing a drop-in in­for­ma­tion ses­sion in Glas­gow on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 19 at the Alzheimer Scot­land of­fice on Ox­ford Street.

The event of­fers peo­ple liv­ing with dementia the op­por­tu­nity to meet Uno the dementia dog, hear more about the project, and ap­ply for a dementia as­sis­tance dog.

The Dementia Dog Project is a char­i­ta­ble col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Alzheimer Scot­land and Dogs for Good, and the first ini­tia­tive of its type in the world to blend dementia spe­cial­ist ser­vices with the pro­vi­sion of highly trained as­sis­tance dogs.
