THE IMPERIAL War Museum (IWM) celebrates its 100th birthday from 5 March with exhibitions across its five venues including IWM Duxford’s Cambridgeshire airfield, HMS Belfast along the River Thames and Winston Churchill’s Second World War underground cabinet rooms. Manchester’s soaring IWM North designed by Daniel Libeskind holds a retrospective of modernist war artist, Wyndham Lewis from 23 June, the first in 60 years, whilst another highlight is Sergey Ponomarev’s searing news shots of the Syrian conflict at IWM London from 23 April.
