THE IM­PE­RIAL War Mu­seum (IWM) cel­e­brates its 100th birth­day from 5 March with ex­hi­bi­tions across its five venues in­clud­ing IWM Dux­ford’s Cam­bridgeshire air­field, HMS Belfast along the River Thames and Win­ston Churchill’s Sec­ond World War un­der­ground cabi­net rooms. Manch­ester’s soar­ing IWM North de­signed by Daniel Libe­skind holds a ret­ro­spec­tive of mod­ernist war artist, Wyn­d­ham Lewis from 23 June, the first in 60 years, whilst an­other high­light is Sergey Pono­marev’s sear­ing news shots of the Syr­ian con­flict at IWM Lon­don from 23 April.
