WITH INTERIORS DESIGNED by Kate Moss, Elle Macpherson, Jade Jagger, Kelly Hoppen, Phillipe Starck and the Yoo Studio the Lakes by yoo are a gorgeous design-led holiday and weekend home destination within a spacious yet truly private countryside environment. The estate is located in the Cotswolds water park, 30 minutes from Cheltenham and only 1.5 hours from London. They offer a full security and concierge service, events management, a bespoke activities team, access to a luxurious spa, a kids' club with plenty of outdoor and indoor activities, which makes it the perfect family break in luxurious surroundings in the Cotswolds. Properties are arranged into five categories, depending on their size, facilities, features and finish, beginning with ‘Special’ and progressing to ‘One of a Kind’ and each property features stunning lake side or woodland views.

We would say – nothing! Just relax and enjoy the beautiful views and the comfort of your home. If you prefer to be more active there are lots of options: not only can guests swim in all six lakes on the 850 acres estate, they can also book an array of activities – from the Lakes by yoo very own zip wire to sailing, fishing, biking and canoeing. Activities however don't stop there as golf, polo, horse riding, wake boarding and rally driving can be arranged close-by.

The lifestyle at the Lakes is relaxed and invites you to unwind and spend quality time together with your family. Think walks in the countryside, healthy food and lazy afternoons on sunny terraces overlooking the lakes. If you prefer a bit more excitement in the evening, the concierge team can arrange mixologists or sommeliers for the night, flowers, cakes or plan and organise a full event – it’s all up to you. Whilst many guests enjoy the self-catering opportunities and huge kitchens in the lake houses, private chefs can also be arranged for dinner service.

The chefs represent an edit of the finest the Cotswolds has to offer and with backgrounds ranging from a topnotch boutique hotel to a multi award-winning deli, their creations will delight every foodie. For those wanting to spend a more relaxed night in, The Lakes by yoo also offers a delicious range of COOK meals to choose from. On weekends and during the summer holidays guests can visit the Lakes very own pop-up restaurant, Elsa's! A vintage Citroen H-wagon inspired the al fresco bistro which boasts an outside seating area sheltered by a tipi and a great variety of food options for lunch or late breakfast. Just grab a coffee or order a delicious burger – Elsa's can cater to every taste bud. For those wanting to enjoy Elsa's creations in the comfort of their own lake villa (maybe on the terrace overlooking the lake?), all eats are available to take away too.

For those guests truly looking to be pampered, the Orchard spa features a heated swimming pool, sauna and an outdoor hot tub! Wanting to stay fit? Personal Training sessions as well as fitness classes are available in the spa gym. What is even better: treatments can also be arranged at your private villa so you can enjoy lake views during your hot stone massage. What more can you ask for? Not only this, in 2017, the Lakes by yoo launched a suite of retreats, a set of unique relaxation retreats at the Lakes by yoo. The Bespoke Wellbeing Retreat offers groups of four or more to tailor-make their own yoga / wellness retreat. The Bettina’s Kitchen retreat teaches participants about plant-based, raw and refined sugar free eating. The Wild Floristry retreat combines a unique combination of mastering the art of floristry and yoga sessions. All retreats take advantage of the beautiful scenery and nature around the Lakes and include outdoor activities in their programmes. Staying at The Lakes always feels like a mini holiday and it's hard to believe when you stroll through the vast estate that you are actually just an hour and a half drive away from the hussle and bussle of London.
