Are elephants evolving?

First News - - World News -

An increasing number of African elephants are being born tuskless because poachers have consistently targeted and killed the elephants with the best tusks over the years. This has meant that only the elephants without tusks have survived to have children. In the Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa, 98% of female elephants have no ivory – and the few that do had much smaller tusks than the elephants who were born in the same park just 100 years ago.
