I AM a blue belt, red tag in taekwondo. A few weeks ago, I was given a challenge to do 500 kicks within half an hour for the people who died in the Grenfell Tower fire.

There were five children from Kensington TKD who sadly went home from training that night, and later perished when the tower was engulfed by flames.

I went to my taekwondo lesson and I began kicking. It was hard work but I kept going because I knew it was for a good cause – for people less fortunate than me. By the time I reached 500 I was exhausted. However, I kept going!

By the end of the lesson, I had reached 1,000 kicks. I was elated, yet worn out!

In the end, I managed to raise £30, which will add to the target of £30,000, so that the families of the children can be supported.

I am very happy that I could do the kickathon for the Grenfell Tower victims.
