PM’s letter to First News readers

LAST week we published First News’ Children’s Brexit Charter.

First News - - Big News -

It was delivered to 10 Downing Street by four readers, representing the thousands of First News readers who have been sharing their views with us about Britain’s exit from the EU.

Gavin Barwell, Number 10’s chief of staff, promised to share the charter with the Prime Minister, Theresa May.

This week, we received a letter from the PM, saying: “I was very interested to learn of your readers’ views on the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union and the priorities that you highlighted.

“We believe that the views of young people are very important as we negotiate the future relationship that the UK will have with the EU and I would encourage you to continue to engage with the Government on this.”
