A NEW set of coins is be­ing re­leased to cel­e­brate the Queen and Prince Philip’s 70th wed­ding anniversary.

The sil­ver coin fea­tures a dou­ble por­trait of the cou­ple on one side, with an im­age of them horse rid­ing to­gether on the re­v­erse.

They are the first Bri­tish royal cou­ple to cel­e­brate 70 years of mar­riage, which is known as a plat­inum wed­ding anniversary.

The Queen and Prince Philip mar­ried at West­min­ster Abbey in front of 2,000 guests on 20 Novem­ber 1947. The wed­ding ser­vice was broad­cast live to 200 mil­lion ra­dio lis­ten­ers.
