STAYING SAFE

First News - - Special Report -

The story follows Nur, Edih and Llet during and after a shopping trip that goes horribly wrong, when they find themselves caught up in a gun and knife attack at the shopping centre.

Like the advice tells us to, all three RUN as quickly as possible away from danger, not stopping to use their phones and dropping all their shopping so they could get away faster.

Even though Nur and Edih get separated from Llet, they all carry on following the advice, with Nur and Edih HIDING in a shop storeroom and Llet managing to run to safety before calling the police and TELLING them about the incident.

Nur and Edih then wait until they are found by the police, who protect them and escort them to safety.

If your teachers decide to give you this lesson, they will watch this video with you and pause it at certain points, so you and your classmates can talk about what is going on and how you should react.

There is lots of advice and information involved and, when you are finished, you and all your friends will know how to keep yourselves, and others, safe in the very unlikely event you are caught up in an attack.

Not only that, but police and teachers hope that you can pass on this information to family and friends to help to keep them safe too.

It is really important to remember that it is unlikely you will ever need to use this information, but it is always better to know what to do, even if you never need to do it.

So talk to your friends, your family and your teachers about this advice, and ask them whether your class can watch the story of Nur, Edih and Llet together.
