An NHS hos­pi­tal in Greater Manch­ester has be­come the first in Eng­land to ban all sug­ary snacks for pa­tients and staff. Tame­side Hos­pi­tal has got rid of all fizzy drinks, choco­lates, sweets and bis­cuits from its can­teen and vend­ing ma­chines, to help keep their staff healthy and to set a good ex­am­ple to pa­tients.
