The hu­man rights or­gan­i­sa­tion Child Soldiers In­ter­na­tional runs a Red Hand Day cam­paign, to make more peo­ple aware of the plight of child soldiers. Pupils have been us­ing the Red Hand Day logo to make pow­er­ful posters, such as this one. If you want to learn more and dis­cuss the prob­lem at school, ask your teacher to go to

Lianne Mi­nasian of Child Soldiers In­ter­na­tional says: “Sadly, thou­sands of school-aged chil­dren are still be­ing used to fight adult wars. All chil­dren de­serve an ed­u­ca­tion and a child­hood, and we hope more schools can learn about the is­sue of child soldiers and help us en­sure no child is re­cruited for war.”
