At least 13 million of these children have lost both of their parents. This week, the world’s eyes have turned to all of these children for World Orphan Week (3-10 February). World Orphan Week – run by charity SOS Children’s Villages UK (SOSUK) – aims to raise awareness of the needs of orphaned and abandoned children all around the world.

This week, people all over the UK are doing their bit to support their cause, making sure as many orphans as possible have a home and are surrounded by people to care for them right up until they become adults.
