How did you first get interested in magic?

I had a Marvin’s Magic set, I loved Harry Potter and my grandpa showed me some tricks.

What was the first trick you learnt?

It was a loom band trick. I went to the fish and chip shop and had the bands on two fingers, then I took my fingers down and when I put them back up they were on the other two fingers. It only took me a few minutes to learn that one.

Who was your favourite judge on Britain’s Got Talent?

I don’t really like to say, but my favourite is David. He’s really funny.

What was the best thing about being on the show?

I think the best thing was all the people there – they were really funny and nice. All the judges were really nice, too – Simon Cowell is actually a lot nicer than he is on TV.

What’s a good first trick to try?

One of the easy tricks I did on YouTube was where I turn a Rubik’s Cube into Skittles. Or you could get a magic book from the library and try those.

What are you looking forward to about the Blackpool Magic Convention?

I like seeing magic tricks on stage and also I’m doing a new trick where I’m levitating!

Issy will be headlining the Blackpool Magic Convention on Friday 16 February.
