BRITISH FOOD FORTNIGHT
THOUSANDS of foodies across the UK have been celebrating the start of British Food Fortnight this week.
Now in its 16th year, British Food Fortnight began on Saturday 22 September and will run until Sunday 7 October.
Hundreds of events are being held across towns and villages, and in schools, shops, restaurants and hospitals, all uniting under one theme: British food!
More than 1,000 schools across the country will be serving up British Food Fortnight menus made only with British ingredients.
To celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday this year, the fortnight will be championing hospital caterers who go the extra mile to put local, healthy and seasonal foods on the menu for patients.
That really is just the starter course for British Food Fortnight – there’s a whole menu of events going on this week across the country! If you or your class would like to take part in some way, be sure to check out all of the activities and events going on at
