Five million cases

More than five million people have been infected with COVID-19 in the United States now. The US has the highest number of registered cases of COVID-19 in the world, followed by Brazil and India. Worryingly, health officials think that this figure isn’t even close to the true number of cases in the country. President Donald Trump’s response to the virus has been criticised by many health experts, and the country is still very divided over the importance of sticking to restrictions such as wearing face masks in shops.
