THE results are in and it’s time to reveal the winner for STABILO’s Unsung Hero competition. Drum roll please…
CONGRATULATIONS THEO HAYWOOD!
Theo, aged ten and from Denbighshire, wrote a very entertaining rap, nominating his family as his unsung heroes. The rap explained how Theo’s family have coped during the COVID-19 pandemic and how they have all helped to home-school him.
Theo had this to say about winning the competition:
“I am so surprised and happy because I didn’t expect to win, I feel gobsmacked. The STABILO prize will help me so much to do my homework. I’ve found lockdown not as bad as I originally thought; I have achieved quite a lot during this period and won certificates from school for my home learning, so I’m really proud of myself!”
Vanya Hunter, STABILO Marketing Manager, said:
“Thank you to all who entered. We found it very hard to judge, as all the entries were fantastic reads. Theo’s entry made everyone laugh and touched those on the panel. The calibre of letters, poems and raps we received really varied in focus and style and we were blown away with the positivity during this tough time! Congratulations to Theo, we hope that he and everyone else who entered the competition continue to write.”
THEO’S WINNING ENTRY THE FAM CLAN RAP
COVID-19 tore the world apart, It started when a guy ate a bat, After that the world went flat.
But my family stood cool and strong, So I hit a beat and made this song. Turns out my fam were good all along, Fighting the pandemic at home where we belong. They helped me, they fed me, But now they have to home ed me! Some work was easy. Some took forever! But as a family we did it together.
I made this rap to thank you all, For helping me stand proud and tall. Turns out even before COVID began, I had the very best ‘Fam Clan’.
