Ex­perts have claimed that young peo­ple are in­tim­i­dated by so­cial me­dia mes­sages that end with full stops, as they think the per­son send­ing the mes­sage is cross with them. Teenagers are more likely to write in bursts with­out punc­tu­a­tion, putting new thoughts in sep­a­rate mes­sages. We’ll still be us­ing full stops in First News, but there’s no need to worry – we’re not an­gry!
