Race face

Meet Graham. This sculpture was designed by the Transport Accident Commission, as part of an Australian road safety campaign. He portrays how the human body would have to evolve to survive a car crash. His skull is large, and contains extra fluid and ligaments to protect the brain. Meanwhile, his flat face is covered with fatty tissue to reduce impact damage, and his strong, barrel-like chest is equipped with airbag-like sacs to protect the heart and lungs.
