WORKING TO DEATH
Taking a holiday could prolong your life, a 40-year study carried out at the University of Finland has found. The study followed over 1,200 middleaged male executives starting in 1974. They found that those who took less than three weeks’ holiday a year had a 37 per cent greater chance of dying over the duration of the study than those who took more.
OLD ON THE INSIDE
A study at the University of Texas evaluating more than 60,000 brain scans has determined that schizophrenia, cannabis abuse, bipolar disorder, ADHD and alcohol abuse are all associated with increased brain ageing. It is the largest study of brain images ever carried out.
