BOOZE, BIRYANI AND BEATS
Dum Biryani in Soho, London has been one of our favourite launches of the last 12 months.
It’s unpretentious, fun and cracking value and has one of the best soundtracks we’ve eaten to. It champions Telugu cuisine and the rich, spicy flavours found across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in southern India. Biryani is star of the show here, served with either chicken or lamb and steamed with a pastry lid concealing meat and rice in a cooking technique called ‘dum’. Check out the weekday set lunch.
