SOMETHING FISHY DOWN IN DORSET

-

If you’re anything like us, you’ll get a certain thrill from gathering your own food rather than heading to the supermarket. Studland boutique hotel The Pig has a new sea-foraging trip allowing guests to do just that, while learning about the abundance of nutrients that can be found growing wild on our shores. Spend half a day exploring the bay gathering sea lettuce, pepper dulse seaweed (which tastes like truffle) and digging for razor clams. You’ll also become captain of your own kayak, paddling into the bay to cast a line for fish. At the end of the day, head chef Andy Wright will turn your catch into a delicious meal and show you how to cook it. £50 per half day. thepighotel.com
