By air: Bordeaux-mérignac air­port is served by sev­eral UK airlines.

By rail: The train jour­ney from Lon­don to Bordeaux via Paris takes 6hr 40min. A faster ser­vice be­gins in July, cut­ting the time to 5hr 35min (tel: 0844 848 5848, voy­ages-sncf.com)

By road: Bordeaux is an 8hr drive from the north­ern ports.
