Don’t forget to like us on Facebook, ‘FRANCE Magazine’

Wanda Parker: Love the magazine. Would like to see an article that could give an idea of the suitability of wheelchair access included in some of the villages. And motor home parking. Since becoming disabled, our sightseeing has become curtailed somewhat, but not our enthusiasm and the use of our adapted ‘home’. Thank you for all the info, especially the crossword.

Check out our Road Trip routes for campervans this month and in the past two issues. We do also have plans for an accessibility feature – Editor.

Fiona Duncan Several years ago we visited Fontevraud, somewhere I had wanted to see for many years, as I love history. Walking through the abbey was such an amazing experience – it was so calm and peaceful. It felt amazing seeing the tombs of these ancient English kings and queens. We walked through the gardens, which I hadn’t expected to find. They were beautiful, though we were very lucky to be there on a gloriously sunny day. What amazed me most was to find out that this wonderful place had, until quite recently [1963] been a prison, holding some of the most violent men in the country. I just couldn’t get over the contradiction between what I was seeing and its recent history.
