Taste: Initially closed on the nose (I tasted a still youthful 2012), with huge mineral concentration on the palate; ample, soft fruit attack, with a nervy, saline finish. Drink with: Poultry or fish cooked in exotically spiced sauce. Price at the estate: €35. Taste: In 2005, Zotzenberg became the first grand cru to lend its name to the sylvaner grape, which produces particularly ripe, mineral lemon-scented wines from this terroir.
