Tucked away on a quiet street on the edge of the 11th arrondissement, this café is so small that if you were to blink, you would miss it.
But what this place lacks in size it makes up for in character. Housed in a former cordonnerie (shoe repair shop), the blue façade has been maintained while the interior has been renovated into a charming space with colour-block chairs, eclectic postcard collages on the walls and gorgeous flowers in full bloom.
The menu is just as appealing as the décor, with several varieties of speciality coffee as well as all the usual French beverages (think café crème, café allongé, chocolat chaud), which are served by friendly baristas. The coffee here really hits the spot, as do the pâtisseries, which are created by a Paris-based American pâtissier, with highlights including carrot cake, blueberry and banana loaf, salted caramel cake, and peaches and cream cake.
The café is open every day from 10am until 6pm and the atmosphere is decidedly relaxed with the main clientele being young, hip Parisians looking for a good coffee fix on a Saturday morning and a place to hang out with friends.
