French school chil­dren usu­ally have two hours for lunch. This al­lows for a proper break and time to eat a meal with no rush. This might change as kids grow up and at­tend ly­cée (from the age of 15) where, de­pend­ing on their timetable, their lunch break will vary ac­cord­ing to the lessons they choose.
