A The most likely rea­son is that your ca­mas­sias are grow­ing in too much shade. Ca­mas­sias will tol­er­ate a lit­tle shade, but pre­fer – and cer­tainly flower bet­ter – in full sun. It sounds as though the stems had to stretch to reach the light, which may have then caused them to flop.
