Q What’s causing these bumps on geum leaves?
JANET ANDALUN, BY EMAIL
AThe bumps on your geum leaves are probably caused by a gall mite. Cecidophyes nudus is a native gall mite that frequently attacks native Geum urbanum. They’re difficult to control so it’s best to simply remove affected leaves and dispose of them. It’s unlikely to affect other plants in the garden.
