What’s this shoot?

Q What’s this strange shoot on my agapanthus?

Garden Answers (UK) - - Gourmet Grower -

A This growth shoot is a baby plant, called a keiki. You’ll probably find it remains green even though the flower stem turns yellow or brown. If you remove it carefully, you can pot it up and grow it on into a new plant, which will be an exact clone of its parent.
