A It’s best to plant camellias in shade, though they can grow in cooler parts of the UK in full sun. Planted against a sunny wall, the foliage will become baked and naturally turn pale or yellow. You could try feeding with some pelleted chicken manure in spring to give the leaves a nitrogen boost or move them to a more shady spot. If your soil is too alkaline for these acid-lovers, they may have an iron deficiency, so apply some iron sulphate.
