Q What’s this pretty flowering shrub we spotted in Cornwall?

Garden Answers (UK) - - Problems Solved -

JACKIE TYSON, BY EMAIL A This is shrubby salvia ‘Hot Lips’, which can be semi-evergreen in mild climates. It’s hardy in a sheltered, sunny spot and can flower almost all year, especially in coastal areas. It benefits from pruning in spring to keep it compact. The flowers are typically red and white but the colour can vary according to the temperature, from all white to all red.
