Q Could I grow tulips in a hang­ing bas­ket?

A Tulips aren’t the best bulbs for bas­kets be­cause the flow­ers face up­wards, so un­less your bas­kets are hung quite low, the flow­ers won’t dis­play well. Dwarf daf­fodils, lit­tle blue scil­las and chion­o­doxa are bet­ter bulbs for bas­kets. But, if you’re feel­ing ad­ven­tur­ous, you could try plant­ing tall tulips that will flop over and make a colour­ful dis­play of blooms on cu­ri­ously bent stems.
