Ghosts on the win­dow

Sadly mil­lions of birds col­lide with house win­dows each year, and pi­geons and doves of­ten leave a ghostly im­age on the glass. This comes from the dust-like ‘pow­der down’ feath­ers that lu­bri­cate their plumage.
