Step by step

1 In a weed-free stretch of border, lightly rake over the soil and level out.

2 Using horticultural sand, mark out areas where you’d like to grow specific blooms.

3 Sow in drills or broadcast the seed into their designated areas.

4 Rake the seed in very lightly and water in well. Thin out and transplant later on.
