Trust launches armchair visits

-

Visitors can experience National Trust (NT) gardens, houses and beauty spots from the comfort of their armchair, or whenever they want, using digital downloads to mobile devices or computers.

In the first of three episodes, NT head gardener at Stourhead Alan Power takes listeners behind the scenes at Cliveden, exploring the world-famous parterre and rose garden, while pondering on the mystery of a newly-discovered sound chamber.

The second immerses listeners in the landscape, monuments and lakes of Stowe Landscape Gardens in Buckinghamshire. From September 21, Alan heads to Mount Stewart, County Down, Northern Ireland. The garden is home to a wide range of exotic plants.

Listeners can stream or download each episode on iTunes, SoundCloud or Acast.
