Harvest autumn raspberries

Garden News (UK) - - What To Do -

Autumn-fruiting raspberries are at their best now and can crop from late summer into November if the weather’s kind. Try to harvest on a dry day – when the fruits slide easily away from the core but remain whole, they’re perfectly ripe. Leave any that resist a gentle tug on the plant for another few days, while any that squish between your fingers will be over-ripe. At the end of the harvest remember to leave the stems in place because autumn raspberries are cut down in February, ready to burst into new growth in spring.
