It’s time to choose a rose
Everybody loves a rose, don’t they? There’s not much better to do outside right now than plant a couple of bare-roots for some amazing blooms and scent next year. But how do we choose what to plant? We’re spoiled for choice but in our feature this week (page 10) we’ve picked our favourite repeat-flowerers for never-ending blooms – but readers will have their favourites. Personally, I’m a soft touch for ones with names that mean something, so this week I’m ordering a ‘Martha’ climbing rose from Peter Beales Roses, simply because it’s my daughter’s name. However you choose, it’s hard to go wrong with roses – so get them in now and enjoy them next summer! Have a great week.
