REPEAT-FLOWERING

-

The term repeat-flowering is just a posh way of saying that the rose produces two big flushes of flowers in one year.

The first flush is at the end of spring/ beginning of summer and then another later in summer. Some old species and varieties of rose (and most ramblers) only have one big flush of flowers in early summer. They may produce an occasional flower later but there's definitely only one ‘main show’ of flowers.

Buy roses from a specialist and they can reliably advise as to whether a rose is repeat-flowering or not.
