Check pansies for black spot

Garden News (UK) - - What To Do -

In wet conditions, winter pansies and violas can suffer from fungal infections, which appear as black spots on the leaves. The spores are spread by wind and rain, so check your tub and basket plants regularly for any outbreaks. Remove any heavily infected leaves you find and burn them or place in your council green waste bin – don’t add them to your compost. Spray plants with a fungicide suitable for ornamental plants, such as Fungus Clear Ultra Gun spray with myclobutanil or Sco s Fungus Clear Ultra concentrate containing triticonazole. And make sure you water plants from beneath, rather than overhead.
