RHS to gift Feel Good Chelsea garden to NHS

-

Ashowcase garden is to benefit NHS patients and staff. The RHS Feel Good Garden, designed by Matt Keightley, will go to an NHS mental health trust in England. To celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS, interested trusts are now being invited to win the garden, which gold medal winner Matt will redesign to suit their available space and needs.

The RHS Feel Good Garden at this year’s Chelsea Show is inspired by his plans for his Feel Good Garden at the new-look RHS Wisley and scheduled to open in 2020.

The aim of the RHS-funded garden is to raise awareness of the positive impact horticulture can have and to promote how gardens can provide relaxing and rehabilitative spaces.

“This incredible gift of this fantastic garden will be an early birthday present for one of our mental health trusts,” said Tim Kendall, National Clinical Director for Mental Health at NHS England.
