Care for herbs
Although it hasn’t been a really bad winter in many areas, and often with mild spells, it’s still good practice to check over your herb garden. Look for damage among rosemary or marjoram, for example, and ensure the soil they’re in isn’t waterlogged as any wet soil or compost that has frozen or may still freeze over could kill the plants. Overcrowded clumps of chives can be divided and weak plants easily and cheaply replaced. You can also sow a fresh supply of basil and thyme, among others, under gentle heat in the greenhouse.
