Force early strawberries

If you can’t wait to taste your delicious strawberries, which will appear from June, there’s a little trick you can do to ensure you’re able to pick the lovely fruit a week or so earlier. Pop a cloche over the top of the plants now – either single cloches or a tunnel cloche – and the increased warmth will bring on the fruit quicker. Remove or roll up the sides of the cloche when plants are flowering so pollinators can get to them.
