Give raised beds some TLC

Garden News (UK) - - About Now -

Raised veg beds are increasingly popular with beginner gardeners and improve access for less-abled growers, but the hot summer has left timber dry, warped and looking sorry for itself. Bowed timbers should be screwed back in place (use decking screws because they’re protected against rust) and all accessible surfaces painted with wood preservative. Check that timber treatments are suitable for use on wood that’s housing edible crops before buying.

Raised wooden beds may have suffered through the hot summer so do any repair work now
