1 Plant anew: Pick a sunny, well-drained spot. Add general fertiliser before planting. Mound soil up so water drains well. 2 Tidy plants: Remove old, yellowing or diseased leaves, unwanted runners and old straw from underneath to let air flow. 3 Propagate: Put a compostfilled pot into the soil. Peg down runners into the pot. Wait for rooting before transplanting. 4 Feed: Give plants a boost by sprinkling with blood, fish and bone or chicken manure pellets, working it into the soil.
