Care in the greenhouse
Clear dead leaves and flowers from plants as they fall to prevent diseases. Feeding should stop now on many of the summer-growing plants but continue feeding winter growers such as cinerarias, calceolarias and cyclamen. These plants need to continue growing and building up strength ready for flowering later. Cold nights are common in September, so start closing down the ventilators and the door each evening. Remember, it still gets warm during the day so open again early the following morning.
