Divide rhubarb plants
When your rhubarb plants are becoming less productive, you can lift and divide them into sections of separate new plants to grow on. Dividing plants up will ensure they stay healthy and uncongested, with more room to thrive. With a spade, dig out the whole dormant plant in one go, then use the spade to split it up into three or four sections, each with a bud or two. Plant each section with buds showing through the surface. Give away excess plants.
