Repot blueberries

-

The fresh, ripe fruits of blueberries are delicious, especially when picked straight from the plants. To grow well they need acid soil conditions, so unless your soil has a low pH, it’s best to grow them in pots of ericaceous compost. Young plants can be started off in small pots, but as they grow they need moving into larger ones to allow them to develop a shrubby framework of branches. A good time to repot is now, just before plants start into growth. Choose a pot 5-7.5cm (2-3in) larger and pot the rootball using fresh ericaceous compost.
