Perfect for Attracting Wildlife
This trial plot was made using wildflower turf, which was easy to handle, took minutes to lay on prepared soil, and established quickly. Growing it from seed using a perennial meadow seed mix would be a cheaper but slower option. It grows tall, so would need a path mown through it if regular access was required. For a low-growing alternative, use the perennial or sedum matting sold for green roofs.
Aftercare: Cut just once, in late summer/autumn, after the plants have set seed.
