A new start

Gardeners' World - - We Love February -

Thank you for waking the dormant gardener in me. Since opening my January issue, I’ve ordered my free dahlias and learnt that I’ve stored my dahlia tubers correctly. I’ve agreed with Michael Gove for the first time ever, in ‘Gove champions pollinators’ ( Clippings, January issue). Monty’s article on growing grapes provided valuable advice, and although saddened by the low counts of house sparrows in my county, it’s good to know my windfall apples will offer them a meal. I know what to prune and when to plant broad beans and chilies and sort my seed packets. With so much on, I might have to book a relaxing day at Highgrove and be inspired by Adam Frost.
