Pot up flowering tender plants

Gardeners' World - - Greenhouse - Gardener

Continue the flower display in your greenhouse by potting a few plugs of flowering plants that’ll bloom through winter until spring. Primula malacoides (below), as well as bellis, pansies and polyanthus, are all available now. Many bedding plants brought inside can be potted, trimmed and deadheaded to flower again.

REMOVE the plugs from their packaging, taking care not to damage them. You can water first to help them come out easily.

FILL a small pot with multipurpose compost and place the plug into the centre before firming it in with your fingers.

SPACE out pots in a tray to give room for growth. Pour water into the bottom of the tray so the pots soak it up from the base.
