Back to nature
An agricultural field in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds will be returned to wildflower pasture and chalk grassland as part of a design for a new-build house. The family home, designed by ID Architecture, echoes the shape of a traditional Lincolnshire barn and stands on a concrete plinth. The house is set into the hillside to allow the meadow to encase the plinth at the entrance. At the back it is sheltered by mixed species trees and hedges. An expanse of grass sward gives on to meadowland where an existing pond will be improved with waterside planting.
